My First Stand-Up - A Comedy Show for Kids

Every family has one: the kid who can turn a tiny story into a full performance, and have the whole table laughing before dessert. We’re giving them a mic. My First Stand-Up is a comedy afternoon for kids aged 8–12. They’ll watch a professional comedian perform family-friendly material, get a peek at how jokes are made, then have the chance to try the stage themselves if they’re up for it. The grown-ups get to cheer them on. That’s the assignment. WHAT’S ON •⁠ ⁠A live comedy set from a professional comedian •⁠ ⁠A look at how comedians find ideas, write jokes and turn everyday moments into laughs •⁠ ⁠A chance for the kids to try their own material on stage in front of a friendly audience No experience needed. Just bring a story, an idea, or something that made you laugh. THE DETAILS Age group: 8–12 Ticket: $15 per child Each child’s ticket includes free admission for up to 2 adults. Additional adults are welcome with an extra ticket. Come early, grab a bite, order your favourite drink and settle in. The kids get the mic; you get front-row bragging rights.
